The husband and wife team of Randy and Leslie Wuerfel, C.D.T., have been in business together for many years. Leslie, a Certified Dental Technician, is a nationally known expert in the field of orthodontics and TMJ dental technology. Very often her visits to dental offices turn into training sessions for the entire staff. In the office, most of her time is spent overseeing the day-to-day operations of both Splint Solution Dental Lab and Hands Cast in Stone. In fact, she can often be found in her white laboratory coat, helping Randy create the precise custom made retainers and TMJ splints that have garnered them so much nationwide attention.
Randy Wuerfel, on the other hand, is best described as a consummate artist. He is blessed with a creative mind, steady hands, and enormous patience. His mastery of the dental lab process has been a blessing for dental patients around the nation.
Now the pairing of Leslie and Randy combining their science and the art has resulted in another great adventure called “Hands Cast in Stone”. Using the technology they have developed in the dental lab industry, they are now able to create highly detailed sculptures of hands. Incorporating other aspects of the subjects life, these sculptures become highly personalized heirlooms for the enjoyment of future generations.
Further combining their expertise, they offer classes, seminars, and fundraisers. In that respect both dental and hand topics are offered. They also do FX type work as in custom teeth for theater,
make-up and mask making. They recently became retailers for Proud Body Casting Pregnancy Belly Kits.
